Helping a major retailer to reorganise HR

One of Britain's largest retailers initiated a major programme of expansion which involved extending its portfolio of stores, recruiting 2,000 employees, and devolving greater responsibility to store managers. As part of this programme, HR was re-organised and given a more strategic role which would see it working closely with marketing, operations and finance, and acting as a central advisory service supporting the stores.

It was essential that the "customers" of the new HR had a full understanding of its role and were aware of the services it provided. Therefore, Digital Opinion was engaged to design and conduct a programme of three annual surveys which would gather vital feedback on the function as it evolved into its new role.

Working closely with the client's HR managers we designed a change management survey which focused on the critical success factors and gathered feedback from a broad range of internal customers. Our detailed reports, analysis and interpretation provided HR with the insights they needed to fine-tune their services and fully adapt to the new role.
