Internal Communications Surveys
Many organisations understand the importance of effective internal communications and the impact they have on efficiency and performance. Very often a variety of organisational shortcomings are attributed to ineffective communications or communication failures. In those circumstances Digital Opinion is asked to investigate.
Our preferred approach to designing and conducting internal communications surveys is to distinguish between upwards, downwards and lateral communications and to establish:
- The forms of communication and information that are most important to employees
- Whether communications are timely and provide the required information
- The delivery channels that are most and least effective.
In some instances the problems that are initially attributed to communications shortcomings turn out to stem more from broader organisational culture and management style issues. Therefore, we usually give full consideration to these issues at the survey design stage.
